PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: July 14, 2026
Effective Date: July 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Viotp ("Platform", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, protects, and deletes the personal data of users of our Services ("User", "you"). This Policy is an integral part of the Terms of Service and should be read in conjunction with that document.

1. DATA COLLECTED

Service Anonymity: The Platform allows anonymous service usage (no physical identification documents required). Most data processed by the Platform consists of technical and transaction data, rather than full personally identifiable information — unless voluntarily provided by the User or required by applicable law in specific cases.

Depending on the level of usage, the Platform may collect:

  1. Registration email, display name, and Account details;
  2. IP address, device info, browser type, and login logs;
  3. Deposit history, number rental transactions, and complaints/support tickets;
  4. Country/number region, selected third-party service, assigned phone number, and message reception timestamp;
  5. Message content/OTP for the duration necessary to provide the Services;
  6. Technical verification information (email control, payment method used) when necessary for fraud prevention;
  7. Data for fraud detection and system safety (e.g., indicators of unusual transaction frequency).

The Platform does not require Users to provide their real names, physical identification documents, residential addresses, or other personally identifiable information for standard registration or use of the Services.

2. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

Data is processed to:

  1. Provide and operate the Services;
  2. Verify access to and protect the Account;
  3. Process payments, reconcile transactions, and process refunds;
  4. Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues;
  5. Provide customer support and resolve complaints/disputes;
  6. Comply with mandatory legal obligations;
  7. Improve Service quality using aggregated or de-identified data where appropriate.

The Platform does not use the User's message content/OTP for advertising purposes, and does not sell personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. RETENTION PERIOD

3.1. The Platform only retains data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes set out in this Policy, system security requirements, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.

3.2. Message content/OTP is deleted or masked to be unreadable after the necessary period from transaction completion, unless it is required to be preserved for complaints, fraud investigation, or legal requests from competent authorities.

3.3. Transaction logs, IP addresses, and anti-fraud data may be retained for longer periods if required by law or necessary to protect the system from repeated abuse.

4. DATA SHARING

Data is only shared to the extent necessary with:

  1. Number provision partners (to operate number rental transactions);
  2. Providers of technical infrastructure, storage, and system security;
  3. Integrated banks or payment service providers;
  4. Consultants, auditors, or technical support entities with equivalent confidentiality obligations;
  5. Competent government authorities, when legally requested in writing in compliance with the law;
  6. Other entities when there is a clear legal basis or with the valid consent of the User.

The Platform does not share data with third parties for advertising/marketing purposes outside the scope mentioned above.

5. REQUESTS FROM COMPETENT AUTHORITIES

5.1. The Platform only provides data to state authorities upon receiving a lawful request, from the proper authority, and within the scope necessary for such request.

5.2. The Platform may preserve (not delete) logs and related data for verification, investigation, or litigation when there is a reasonable basis or upon lawful request.

5.3. Where permitted by law, the Platform may notify the User that their data has been requested. The Platform will not notify the User if prohibited by law or if notification could obstruct a lawful investigation.

6. DATA SECURITY

The Platform applies reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, internal access control, access logging) to protect data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Internal access to SMS/OTP content by personnel is only conducted when necessary to provide the Services, resolve errors, handle complaints, prevent fraud, or comply with legal requirements; this access is authorized and logged.

No system is absolutely secure; the Platform encourages Users to protect their own login credentials.

7. COOKIES AND TECHNICAL TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

7.1. The Platform may use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) for necessary technical purposes: maintaining login sessions, remembering settings, detecting fraud, and protecting system safety.

7.2. The Platform may use website traffic analysis tools (e.g., page views, visits) to improve Service quality. Analysis data is processed in aggregate form where possible.

7.3. The Platform does not use cookies for personalized advertising and does not share User browsing data with third-party advertising networks.

7.4. Users can block or delete cookies through browser settings; blocking technical cookies may affect certain functions of the Platform (e.g., maintaining login status).

8. USER RIGHTS REGARDING PERSONAL DATA

Within the scope of applicable law, the User has the right to:

  1. Request access to personal data held by the Platform about them;
  2. Request correction of inaccurate data;
  3. Request deletion of data, unless it is required to be retained for legal obligations or active dispute resolution;
  4. Request restriction of or object to certain processing activities;
  5. Withdraw previously provided consent, if processing is based on consent.

Requests to exercise these rights should be sent via the contact channels in Section 10 of this Policy. The Platform may require reasonable verification of Account control before processing the request, in order to prevent unauthorized third parties from spoofing requests.

9. CHANGES TO THE POLICY

The Platform may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Services, technology, or legal requirements. Updated versions are published with an effective date. For changes that significantly affect User rights, the Platform will endeavor to provide prior notice via registration email or a prominent notice on the website.
